Profile

Alex was first elected as a Councillor for Ballyholme and Groomsport (North Down) in 2001, and was successfully returned as a Councillor in May 2011.

Alex is currently serving his third term as a member of the Northern Ireland Assembly and is currently the Assembly Private Secretary to the Department of Health, Social Services and Public Safety.  He is also a member of the Regional Development Committee and the Public Accounts Committee.

Alex also represents the Party on the;

• Assembly All Party Group on Autism
