DUP Deputy Leader Nigel Dodds has encouraged the government to get behind manufacturing in Northern Ireland following the ITC ruling in support of Bombardier in the dispute with Boeing. The issue was raised by the North Belfast MP at Prime Ministers Questions.

Speaking afterwards he said, “Everyone across the House of Commons warmly welcomed the news from the ITC which has helped protect jobs in Bombardier. That ruling came a great deal of hard work on the part of the company management, workforce, trade unions, political representation and the Government.
The C-Series is well placed to be a huge success in the aerospace industry and can match the potential which many recognised at an early stage. Following the Government support for Bombardier I would urge the government to get behind improving the manufacturing sector in Northern Ireland.
There are vital decisions outstanding and I wanted to tell the government today to “get on with it”.”
