South Antrim DUP Assembly Candidate Trevor Clarke has welcomed the decrease in the district rate of Antrim and Newtownabbey Borough Council.
Welcoming this news Trevor Clarke said:
“The DUP are a low rates party, and I am delighted that Antrim and Newtownabbey Borough Council have announced a decrease in the district rate.
Our DUP Councillors have worked hard to identify to achieve the 0.52% reduction in within the Antrim area, while Newtownabbey will see no increase. Non-domestic ratepayers will also benefit from a decrease.
This saving has been achieved while still maintaining an ambitious agenda for the Council. The council still plans to roll out a capital development programme which includes the redevelopment of Antrim Loughshore and the Steeple site in Antrim.
Once again the DUP have delivered upon their pledge of the best possible services at the lowest possible cost.”
