Emma Little Pengelly


Emma was co-opted to the Northern Ireland Assembly in September 2015 to represent South Belfast. She replaced Jimmy Spratt who retired on health grounds and was appointed as a Junior Minister in the First Minister’s Office.

Prior to being an MLA Emma worked as a Special Advisor in the Office of the First Minister and is one of the party spokespersons on victims issues.

Emma studied at Queen’s University Belfast and worked as a barrister after leaving university.

Following the 2016 Assembly Election, Emma was appointed as Chair of the Assembly’s Finance Committee.
