North Antrim DUP MLA Mervyn Storey has called for an urgent meeting with PSNI and Road Service following another accident at Clintyfinnan crossroads near Armoy, this evening.
Commenting Mervyn Storey said,
"I understand another accident has taken place at the Clintyfinnan crossroads. A local resident from Clintyfinnan was involved with a car of tourist from the United States. Just this week I received further correspondence from Roads Service following concerns that I had raised with the Area Manager calling for information leaflets and sat-nav improvements.
Regrettably in previous meetings and correspondence Roads Service has said that legislation does not facilitate the use of stop signs at this location. Following this recent accident I believe that the only way now to prevent these accidents at this black spot is to introduce such signage."
