Upper Bann DUP General Election candidate Carla Lockhart has pointed to the DUP’s record of delivering for everyone through real investment in schools and hospitals.
Carla Lockhart said,
“Whilst others have used their mandate to block devolution for narrow political advancement, the DUP used its mandate to deliver for everyone with real investment in schools and hospitals.
Through our deal with Government we secured £100 million to help deal with pressures in health and education, a further £200 million to help modernise the health service and an extra £10 million per year for mental health services. Of course money alone will not fix all the problems in schools and hospitals. Ministerial decisions need made.
While others have criticised from the side-lines, they have achieved nothing for real people on real issues such as our schools and hospitals.
This could only be achieved because there was a hung parliament and the DUP MPs worked as a team to deliver for everyone in Northern Ireland. After the election, there could well be another hung parliament, only a strong team of DUP MPs will have the strength to stand up for Northern Ireland.”
